Young driver killed when his car rolls, hitting light standard

EDMONTON - A man is dead after the car he was driving went out of control, rolled and struck a light standard early Friday in southeast Edmonton.
The crash occurred about 3:30 a.m. on Anthony Henday Drive, just west of the 91st Street overpass. The car veered onto the grass median and hit the light standard. Witnesses said the car had been speeding before the driver lost control.
The driver, who was heading eastbound, was the lone occupant of the silver Chevy Malibu and was dead at the scene. Police believe he was in his late teens or early 20s.
