Lucky Alberta residents win four luxury homes in annual STARS lottery

Several lucky Albertans have won big in the 2012 STARS lottery.
On Thursday, the air ambulance held the final draw for its annual lottery. Top prize winners included:
— Calgary resident James Kotyk won the Calgary show home worth $1.1 million;
— Delburne resident Shari Macdonald won the Sylvan Lake show home worth $905,100;
— Red Deer residents Kenneth and Cynthia Fenwick won the Sherwood Park show home worth $856,000;
— Stirling resident Arthur Hohn won the Lethbridge show home worth $770,000;
In addition, Gary Rands of Cherry Grove won the home away from home truck and trailer package worth $129,000 and several others won cars as part of the lottery.
This year’s lottery raised more than $10 million for the charity, which provides emergency care and transport to critically ill and injured patients across Alberta.
