LEDUC, Alta. - An Alberta man has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for having sex with a 12-year-old girl.
David Joseph Hauser, 24, pleaded guilty to sexual assault earlier this year.
The Crown withdrew other charges, including sexual interference and unlawfully providing liquor to a minor.
Hauser was charged last August after the girl was reported missing in Wetaskiwin and later found by RCMP at a home in Leduc.
Police say the two knew each other prior to the incident.
