One person has died after a crash involving a Strathcona County Peace Officer on Hgihway 21 Tuesday afternoon.
The officer was driving a fully marked Tahoe north on Highway 21 near Township Road 512 when she collided with a Honda Civic heading the other way.
From their early investigation police believe the Civic had crossed the centre line and struck the Tahoe.
The man behind the wheel of the Civic was rushed to hospital where he later died.
His age and identity haven’t been released.
The peace officer was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe alcohol or drugs may have played a role.
