Firefighters battle blaze at south Edmonton condo

EDMONTON - About 55 firefighters are on the scene of a condo fire in south Edmonton.
The fire at 1815 111A St. began at about 2:40 p.m. Thursday.
Tim Wilson, an Edmonton fire department spokesman, said additional firefighters were called to the scene at about 3:10 p.m., and firefighters continue to work on the blaze.
The building, called Heritage Estates, has 92 residents. The building has been evacuated.
Wilson said social services and the Red Cross have been called to help.
The fire is not yet under control.
