City of Edmonton officials continue to monitor levels of the North Saskatchewan River, after a Flood Watch was issued for the river in the Edmonton area on Friday, June 21. Alberta Environment is not anticipating flooding in Edmonton.
We advise citizens to stay off the North Saskatchewan River completely; don't launch any boats. River is fast moving and contains debris that may present a danger.
Please use caution near River Valley Trails. Trails may be closed to the public for safety reasons. Trail users in the river valley are asked to obey signs and avoid closed trails.
Information on trail closures is updated as required and is available at http://edmonton.ca/attractions_recreation/parks_rivervalley/trailpark-cautions-closures.aspx
