The PMI-NAC is dedicated to providing new and unique professional development opportunities to its members through the Education portfolio. As such, the Board of Directors supported the development of a Toastmasters Club that offers not only the benefits of membership in Toastmasters International, but also PDU’s for continued certification in the Project Management profession.
Toastmasters has helped thousands of people achieve more in all aspects of their lives. Using the speaking and leadership skills developed in Toastmasters, people have become more active in business, churches, and service and charity organizations. Toastmasters enables members to become more proficient in organizing activities, conducting meetings, and speaking in public.
By establishing a PMI-NAC Toastmasters Club, focused upon the unique needs of project managers, we provide additional value to members at a minimal cost. This type of PMI-related Toastmasters Club has been undertaken in at least two other jurisdictions of PMI—Washington, DC and Phoenix, AZ.
