New York toddler picks winning $1M lotto ticket

A Brooklyn mom is now $1 million richer, thanks to her toddler with "the Midas touch."
On January 30th, while visiting a neighbourhood convenience store with her mom, 2-year-old Anaya Hussain put her hand on a New York Poker ticket. Her mother, Afsheen Ahsan, bought the instant scratch-off ticket — and won $1 million.
"She touched it," Ahsan, 34, said to the New York Daily News on Tuesday as she collected her winnings. "If she didn't touch it, I wouldn't have taken it. She's lucky."
The Pakistani immigrant has big plans for the money, which will come in annual installments of $31,152 until 2031.
"I am happy," she said. "I'm going on vacation, but I have no idea where. I want to start a business too, a grocery store."
